I believe I have figured out the install issue with VCM 5.7 , on page 13 of the VMware vCenter Configuration Manager Installation guide, it list SQL Server 2008 R2 or 2012, Standard or Enterprise as supported software. When I originally install the SQL I used 2012. Which the VCM install failed. However, I just successfully installed the VCM 5.7 using SQL 2008 R2 .
